Zimbabwe also shares a narrow border with Namibia to the west via a narrow land corridor.

Zimbabwe has the highest literacy rate in all of Africa, with a rate of 90.2 percent in 2000. Zimbabweans generally value and pursue academic achievement. For males, the country's adult literacy rate (the percentage of persons aged 15 and over who can read and write) is 93 percent.
